A leading company in the South African renewable energy sector, Smart4 Energy is currently seeking a dedicated Site Health & Safety Officer – Wind. This is a prime opportunity to ensure compliance and promote safety among staff and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce project Health and Safety Specifications to ensure compliance with relevant legal and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess and mitigate potential risks, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for staff and contractors to promote a culture of health and safety.
- Monitor and document incidents and near-misses, conducting thorough investigations to prevent recurrences.
- Collaborate with project managers and operational staff to integrate health and safety measures into operational plans.
Requirements
- Qualification: Relevant Health and Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH, SAMTRAC).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a health and safety role within the renewable energy sector.
- Skills: Strong understanding of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective training and reporting.
💰 Salary Insight
Estimated Offer: R30,000 – R50,000 per month.
