Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care in the theatre, ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment and facilitate the smooth operation of surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities promptly to the medical team.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
Requirements
- Qualification: Relevant nursing degree with Theatre qualification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a surgical or theatre setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with the ability to work under pressure.
- Registration: Must be registered with the South African Nursing Council.
