Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive wound care management for patients under the guidance of a Reconstructive Surgeon.
- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, documenting observations and progress meticulously.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans and adjust as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on post-care instructions and wound management techniques.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment to ensure the safety of patients.
Requirements
- Qualification: Valid Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Experience: Proven work experience in wound care, preferably in a surgical or hospital environment.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills and exceptional patient communication.
- Additional Certifications: Wound care certification is highly beneficial.
