Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the regulations set forth by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
- Manage and mentor junior staff, including assistants and interns, while ensuring accountability for prescription accuracy.
- Provide pharmaceutical care, counseling, and education to patients regarding medications and health management.
- Participate in stock control and inventory management to maintain optimal supply levels.
Requirements
- Qualification: Recognized registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a retail pharmacy environment.
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge: Must be familiar with Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) standards.
