Switchboard Operator in Cape Town, Western Cape

If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, Fairmont is looking for a dedicated Switchboard Operator. This is your chance to be an integral part of our Front Office team in the beautiful city of Cape Town, Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Front Office department, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls promptly and efficiently, routing them to the relevant departments as needed.
  • Complete daily staff transport lists and maintain accurate records for transportation logistics.
  • Assist with guest inquiries and provide information regarding hotel services and facilities.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a switchboard or telephone operator role is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Technical: Proficiency in operating a switchboard and related communication systems.
  • Education: A Matric certificate is essential; further qualification in hospitality or a related field will be an advantage.

💰 Salary Insight

Estimated Salary Range: R10,000 – R15,000 per month.
