Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public policy strategies that align with TikTok’s goals and the unique political environment of East Africa.
- Collaborate with governmental bodies, NGOs, and industry stakeholders to advocate for policy positions that support innovation and growth.
- Monitor legislative developments and assess their impact on the business environment, particularly within the technology sector.
- Lead a team dedicated to engaging with local communities and enhancing TikTok’s public profile as a responsible corporate citizen.
- Draft policy papers, briefings, and other communications to convey TikTok’s position to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in public policy, ideally within the technology or telecommunications sectors.
- Proven track record in developing relationships with government officials and understanding the regulatory landscape in East Africa.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to navigate complex political and regulatory environments effectively.
💰 Salary Insight
Estimated Offer: R1,200,000 – R1,800,000 per year.
