Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that patients’ medicine-related needs are being met, including personalized consultations on medication usage.
- Provide pharmacist-initiated therapy to optimize patient outcomes based on clinical assessments.
- Conduct compounding and manipulation of medications as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the appropriate storage and handling of pharmaceuticals in compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and transactions to ensure accountability and transparency.
Requirements
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Registration: Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as a Pharmacist.
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
