Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for electrical projects in commercial, industrial, and utility sectors.
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine cost, materials, and labor requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accuracy in operational proposals.
- Conduct site visits to gather further information necessary for precise estimating.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Review and assess bids from subcontractors for conformity with project specifications.
- Keep updated with industry trends and best practices to improve estimating processes.
Requirements
- Qualification: Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical estimating within construction sectors.
- Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with estimating software and tools is essential.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
💰 Salary Insight
Estimated Market Salary: R40,000 – R60,000 per month.
