Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs, maintenance, and inspections on mechanical systems.
- Work closely with trades and other technicians to ensure technical support is provided.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities thoroughly.
- Maintain high safety standards and ensure adherence to safety regulations while working.
- Support the training and mentoring of junior technicians and apprentices.
Requirements
- Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric) and trade-tested artisan status (Mechanical, Millwright, Fitter, or Boilermaker).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
