Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections on welding and fabrication processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize technical expertise in welding techniques, especially for boilermaking and fitting.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform SAIW Level II inspections and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- Assist with the development and implementation of inspection procedures and protocols.
- Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and fabrication teams.
Requirements
- Qualification: Artisan qualification as a Fitter, Boilermaker, or Millwright.
- Certification: SAIW Level II / IWS / IWT Welding Inspection certification required.
- Experience: Extensive experience in welding inspection within an industrial environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently.
