Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of fitters and turners in the production department.
- Ensure that production machinery, including lathes, CNC machines, milling, and drilling equipment, operates efficiently.
- Perform essential fitment and repair tasks to maintain the functionality of machinery.
- Coordinate daily operations, troubleshoot machinery issues, and implement improvements in workflow.
- Maintain quality control through regular inspections and adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years in a fitting or fitting & turning role, with supervisory responsibilities.
- Qualifications: Trade tested as a Fitter or relevant qualification in mechanical engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in CNC operations, lathe work, milling, and drilling.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Vaal area, Gauteng.
