Key Responsibilities
- Lead integrative research initiatives that explore the nexus of human, animal, and environmental health, addressing challenges under the One Health and Planetary Health frameworks.
- Develop interdisciplinary projects, fostering collaboration among departments and stakeholders to advance innovative solutions for health-related issues.
- Oversee research activities, including grant applications and publications, while mentoring junior researchers.
- Engage with local and global partners to promote the university’s research agenda in planetary health.
Requirements
- Qualification: Doctorate degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Environmental Science, or related disciplines.
- Experience: Proven track record in research leadership, with at least 5 years of experience in related fields.
- Skills: Strong analytical thinking, effective communication skills, and experience with interdisciplinary collaboration.
💰 Salary Insight
Estimated Salary: R750,000 – R1,200,000 per annum.
