A leading company in the Renewable Energy / IPP Sector, SET Consulting is currently seeking a skilled Legal Counsel: Construction and Disputes. This is a prime opportunity to join a dynamic team at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on legal matters relating to construction contracts and disputes in renewable energy projects.
• Draft and review various legal documents including contracts, agreements, and legal opinions.
• Assist in dispute resolution processes, including negotiations and mediations.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct legal research and keep abreast of changes in laws related to construction and energy sectors.

Requirements

• Qualification: LLB degree or equivalent, with relevant legal certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in construction or related fields.
• Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of South African construction law and dispute resolution mechanisms.
