Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students, focusing on emotional and psychological well-being.
- Develop and implement social education and awareness programs that promote mental health and wellness.
- Coordinate life skills development activities that empower students with coping mechanisms and resilience strategies.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify students in need of support and provide appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student interactions.
Requirements
- Qualification: Level 9 Qualification in Social Work or Counselling Psychology (Advantageous).
- Registration: Must be a registered Social Worker with the appropriate governing bodies.
- Experience: Previous experience in student counseling, mental health support, or community services is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
- Personal Traits: Empathetic, patient, and able to work collaboratively within a diverse student population.
💰 Salary Insight
Estimated Offer: R20,000 – R30,000 per month.
