A leading company, Altron, is on the lookout for a proactive Switchboard Operator. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for effective communication, this is the perfect opportunity for you to join a reputable team in Midrand, Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
  • Direct calls to the appropriate departments or personnel ensuring minimal wait times.
  • Maintain a polite and professional demeanor in all communications with clients and internal staff.
  • Manage call logs and provide updates on the status of calls as needed.
  • Assist in administrative tasks as required, including data entry and managing schedules.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a switchboard, call centre, or customer-facing role is advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on empathy and understanding.
  • Behavioral Attributes: Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.

💰 Salary Insight

Estimated Salary: R10,000 – R15,000 per month.
