Exciting Opportunity: Director: Departmental Work Organisation Capacity Development in Cape Town

Join the Western Cape Government as a committed Director: Departmental Work Organisation Capacity Development (Ref No. DOTP 50/2026). This is a significant role where you will influence capacity development initiatives in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance departmental work organisation strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead capacity development programs ensuring alignment with government objectives and policies.
  • Supervise and mentor middle and senior management to foster a culture of growth and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies related to departmental operations.
  • Engage in strategic planning and implement best practices to optimize departmental performance.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years at a middle/senior managerial level in a relevant field.
  • Qualification: Successful completion of the Certificate for entry into the Senior Management Service (SMS) Pre-entry Programme (Nyukela) is required before appointment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Attributes: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-building abilities.

💰 Salary Insight

Estimated Salary: R1,000,000 – R1,500,000 per annum.
