Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the dispensary and ensure compliance with regulations and standards set by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Oversee and coordinate the dispensing of medication and provide expert consultation to patients on pharmaceutical care.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff, including serving as a registered tutor for pharmacy interns.
- Maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical transactions and manage inventory effectively to ensure the availability of essential medications.
Requirements
- Qualification: Matric and a BPharm or equivalent qualification.
- Licensing: Must be registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar managerial role in a pharmacy setting is advantageous.
