Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental laws and industry standards within the processing plant.
- Proactively identify health and safety risks, implementing effective controls to mitigate them.
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting best practices and providing training to staff.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, reporting on compliance and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with management to develop and enhance health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Qualification: A diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a Health and Safety role, preferably within the mining or processing industry.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of legislation, safety protocols, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Certifications: Must possess relevant health and safety certifications such as ISO 45001.
