Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that quarterly self-audits are conducted and submitted to Head Office to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture across the organization through training and awareness initiatives.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and accidents, ensuring timely reporting as required.
- Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Qualification: Relevant qualification in Health and Safety or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in a health and safety role within a similar industry.
- Skills: Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and ability to conduct risk assessments.
- Certifications: Certifications such as NEBOSH or SAMTRAC are preferred but not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
