Exciting Opportunity: Receptionist/Switchboard Operator in Western Cape

Join the dynamic team at Western Cape Blood Service as a dedicated Receptionist/Switchboard Operator. This is your chance to be the first point of contact for visitors, staff, donors, and stakeholders at our Head Office in Pinelands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact for visitors, staff, donors, and stakeholders, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
  • Handle incoming calls efficiently, directing them to the appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, addressing inquiries and concerns with tact and clarity.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it remains organized and represents the organization positively.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining filing systems.

Requirements

  • Qualification: High School Diploma; relevant certifications in office administration are an advantage.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Attributes: Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.

💰 Salary Insight

Estimated Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 per month.
