Exciting Opportunity: Senior Sous Chef in Johannesburg

A leading company, Crew Life at Sea, is seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef to join their culinary team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and collaborate with experts in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and execute innovative menus that align with the culinary vision.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in accordance with culinary, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Maintain inventory controls and ensure quality of food preparation and presentation meets established standards.
  • Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Implement new menu items and seasonal changes to keep offerings fresh and exciting for guests.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Formal culinary education or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in high-pressure kitchen environments, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership abilities, passion for food, knowledge of food safety regulations, and excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

💰 Salary Insight

Estimated Offer: R25,000 – R35,000 per month.
